How image and video generation works

A factual explanation of xeve.ai generation modes, inputs, credits, and how image and video outputs differ.

Overview

On xeve.ai, image and video generation are separate creation flows inside the product. They let the user generate new media instead of only chatting with a character or staying in a live session.

Generation is not the same as live AI video chat. Live chat is a real-time interaction flow. Generation creates new image or video outputs from chosen inputs.

Inputs and modes

The Generate page supports both image and video output. Depending on the selected mode, the user can work from text, structured choices, or a reference image.

  • Video generation can be guided by text or by a selected image.
  • Image generation can be guided by structured visual choices or by a selected image.
  • The form also lets the user control appearance, clothing, scene, camera, mood, and other output details.

Reference images and prompts

Xeve.ai uses reference images to anchor the look of a character or scene. A user can start from an existing character image, a public image-based character, or another supported reference image source that the page exposes.

When the user does not rely only on a reference image, the generator can also take structured selections such as hairstyle, eye color, clothing, location, camera movement, action, and overall style. This lets the generation flow behave more like a guided builder than a single freeform prompt box.

Image output vs video output

Image generation and video generation use different output rules. Image generation is the simpler media request. Video generation adds duration and motion, so it usually needs more credits and more processing than a still image.

The app itself reflects this difference by calculating credits from separate image and video costs. Longer video duration increases the required credits further.

Credits and access

Media generation is primarily a credits-based flow. The Generate page shows the user how many credits are available and how many are required for the requested output.

In the current product flow, image generation and video generation both consume credits unless a temporary free entry condition applies, such as the app offering a first free image. When the user does not have enough credits, xeve.ai sends that user toward the credits checkout flow.
