Data retention and account deletion
How long xeve.ai keeps chats, logs and account data, where chats are stored, how to delete your account, and which records stay by law.
Overview
Chats are deleted twelve months after their last message and request logs after 30 days; account data is kept for as long as your account exists. Chats are stored on Google Cloud in the EU (Belgium). You delete your account under "My Membership" after cancelling subscriptions. The binding wording is in the Privacy Policy and the Cancellation Policy.
Where your chats are stored and who can see them
Conversations are stored on Google Cloud servers in the EU (region europe-west1, Belgium), processed only to run the service, not sold, not used for advertising, and not used by xeve.ai to train AI models.
Anonymous sessions are keyed by a random identifier kept in your browser, not by an account. Every conversation passes an automated moderation check; summaries are cached without any account reference. Chats and prompts are never published.
Retention periods
The Privacy Policy lists these periods:
- Chat sessions: twelve months after the last message; active conversations are never affected.
- Server request logs: 30 days.
- Account data: until you delete your account.
- Financial transaction records: statutory commercial and tax retention periods (in Germany up to ten years).
- Safety records: as long as needed to defend legal claims, as a rule the statutory limitation periods.
- Consent records: as long as xeve.ai must be able to demonstrate your consent.
Generated media
Generated images and videos are stored with your account, delivered via bunny.net (EU), and marked as AI-generated when stored; see AI-generated media and provenance for what the mark covers.
How to delete your account
Log in, open "My Membership" in the left menu, click "Delete account" and follow the instructions. Cancel active subscriptions first; remaining access time may be lost. Refunds and cancellation explains how to cancel.
What is kept after deletion
The Privacy Policy names the records that stay after deletion because xeve.ai is legally required or entitled to keep them: financial transaction records (statutory retention periods) and safety records (defense of legal claims). For everything else, the Privacy Policy is the binding reference.
Your rights
The Privacy Policy lists your GDPR rights, including access and erasure. Write to the address on the Contact page; for anonymous sessions include the session identifier from your browser's local storage.
